SaFlector® Sign Post Sleeves
Enhancing the visibility of critical traffic signs improves street safety.
SaFlector® sleeves are 3-sided retroreflective post sleeves designed to enhance the visibility and driver awareness of key traffic signs and sign posts in multiple directions. When installed on a traffic sign post, the sleeve adds to the target value of the sign. The additional sides of the sleeve provide cues to drivers approaching from other directions of the sign and post. When the sign is damaged, obscured or missing, the sleeve’s presence can still provide drivers a cue of the sign’s presence.
Designed by traffic engineers, SaFlector® sleeves are:
- Low-cost
- Quick and easy to install in a broad range of weather conditions
- Compatible with the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 2009 Edition, Chapter 2A.21)
As a safety tool, they can be used to enhance the visibility of safety-related signs, including:
- Stop signs
- School and pedestrian crossing signs
- Curve warning signs in rural, urban and freeway settings
